CAMILLA AINLEY

Camilla Ainley is a British Nutritionist and Naturopath who resides between Egypt and the UK. She trained and established her first practice in London in 2002 - specialising in ozone therapy - live blood analysis and herbal medicine.

She opened her clinic in Siwa in 2007 - addressing imbalances in the biological terrain through hydration, nourishing whole-foods and essential nutrients, effective detoxification and the elimination of disease-causing parasites. Camilla also uses a combination of additional treatments such as acupuncture, homeopathy and information healing to address energetic and emotional dis-harmony.

Rooted in the belief that we are multidimensional beings - Camilla’s treatments are enshrined in the understanding that we all inherently hold unlimited potential for maintaining and restoring abundant health - given the right conditions - by working on both the physical and quantum energetic levels.

Camilla treats the local indigenous population where she lives in Egypt and her international clients who come to Siwa to access the pristine and unique natural environment for health tourism. She also takes on a small amount of online clients.

Working mostly from her organic farm and retreat centre, Camilla lives a very quiet life close to nature and the rhythms of the earth and feels generously embraced by the remote tribal community of Siwa - who continue to honour a way of life that has endured for more than a thousand years.

It is a great privilege to bring guests for natural health treatments here in my home and garden farm - hidden away amongst the vast palm forest of the oasis.

My retreat guests stay in their own private part of my garden - in ‘Tamazeugh Castle'‘ - an earth and salt eco-house I designed and built especially to give them the most comfortable, inspiring and rejuvenating experience.

My Farm

We keep goats, chickens, ducks, geese and rabbits which are all pasture fed and organic, and spend their days foraging outside in the sunshine.  This gives us all the milk, eggs and meat we need.

We grow herbs including aloes, moringa, basil, eucalyptus, rosemary and thyme to name just a few. I’ve planted fruit trees that thrive in the oasis - such as guava, mulberry, pomegranate, lemon, grape and fig.  Most of our produce income comes from our olives and dates.

Our garden farm is watered by an ancient Pharaonic spring where we bathe and wash during the summer months.

Made from the Earth, Inspired by Nature

The buildings in our garden farm (including our home) were hand made from local earth, salt and wood.

We have large open wood fire places which heat the houses during the cold desert winters.

The structured and energised water we use inside our kitchen and bathrooms comes directly from a natural spring at the top of the land, and the grey water we create is distributed to planter beds where we grow papyrus and sweet smelling herbs like basil and mint.

Our home is a vibrant and happy environment and our lives are deeply embedded in this unique environment and the incredible Amazigh people who have become perfectly adapted to all the oasis provides them.
